La Quinta owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They put the hurt on the Palm Desert Aztecs with a sharp 8-0 victory. Considering the Blackhawks have won five matchups by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

La Quinta's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Palm Desert, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Quinta will challenge Palm Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palm Desert, they will take on Rancho Mirage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rancho Mirage will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Palm Desert surely won't give up without a fight.
