Volleyball Game Preview: Arrupe Jesuit Generals vs. Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors

Arrupe Jesuit is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Thursday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Arrupe Jesuit came up short against Kennedy and fell 3-1.

While Arrupe Jesuit had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 10-25, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Arrupe Jesuit had strong showings from Andres Silva, who had four digs and four aces, and Juan Herrada, who had four aces.

They weren't the only good server: Arrupe Jesuit was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Eagle Ridge Academy came up short against Riverdale Ridge on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Ravens recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20, 25-10.

Arrupe Jesuit now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
