Basketball Recap: Cy-Fair Takes a Loss

Cy-Fair was the 32-30 winner over Cypress Falls when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Cy-Fair Bobcats came up short against the Cypress Falls Eagles on Wednesday, falling 58-38. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 702nd, while the Eagles are ranked 95th).

Cy-Fair has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Cypress Falls, they pushed their record up to 19-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Cy-Fair will head out to take on Northbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cy-Fair is facing Northbrook at the right time seeing as Northbrook is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Cypress Falls, they will challenge Cypress Ridge at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cypress Falls will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Cypress Ridge will have lost 13 straight heading into Saturday's matchup.
