The Guernsey-Sunrise Vikings will look to defend their home court against the Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers at 4:00 p.m. The pair are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Last Saturday, Guernsey-Sunrise got the win against Midwest by a conclusive 62-39. That 23 points margin sets a new team best for Guernsey-Sunrise this season.
Meanwhile, Lingle-Fort Laramie entered their tilt with Niobrara County with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Lingle-Fort Laramie was the clear victor by a 67-46 margin over Niobrara County. Lingle-Fort Laramie has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Lingle-Fort Laramie's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brady Cook led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Cook is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brody Roberts, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Guernsey-Sunrise now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lingle-Fort Laramie, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2.
Guernsey-Sunrise was taken down by Lingle-Fort Laramie 68-25 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023.
