With a playoff win on the line, Minooka rose to the challenge  on Friday. They walked away with  a   3-0  victory over the East Moline United Panthers. Give the Indians' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
The result came thanks to  Marina Hristov's shutout, as she gave up just seven  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 13 consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Jaelle Hamilton, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI. She has been hot recently, having  posted three or more  RBI the last three times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Karli McMillin, who  went 3-for-4 with one  double.
Minooka pushed their record up to 24-12 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for East Moline United, their defeat  ended  a  seven-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 19-12-1.
As of now, neither Minooka nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
