Football Recap: Columbus Crusaders Skates Past Peebles with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Christ Prep Academy, Columbus Crusaders was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They breezed past the Peebles Indians to the tune of 52-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Columbus Crusaders considering their 13-point performance the matchup before.

Ezekiel Bowie was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 64 yards and five touchdowns on only seven carries. Those five rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Columbus Crusaders didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Malachi Garner, Justin Bauer, and Lucas Stoner picked up one apiece.

The victory got Columbus Crusaders back to even at 1-1. As for Peebles, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Columbus Crusaders has already played their next game, a 63-0 win against Grand Valley Christian P on the 6th. As for Peebles, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Adams at 7:00 p.m. on the 27th.
