Grove City is a perfect 3-0 against Mercer since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Grove City will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Grove City earned a 45-34 win over Slippery Rock. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Rockets are ranked 562nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mercer has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to Farrell on the road by a 71-56 margin on Wednesday.

Mercer's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Grove City, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.

Everything came up roses for Grove City against Mercer when the teams last played back in February of 2025, as the squad secured an 83-55 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
