Everett Alvarez is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Wednesday. They lost 70-50 to Alisal. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 863rd, while the Trojans are ranked 381st).

Meanwhile, Carmel came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Cowboys as they made off with a 70-46 victory.

Carmel's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Everett Alvarez, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17.
