Basketball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Waconia Wildcats, falling 67-46. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Waconia, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.

Jefferson and Waconia could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. Jefferson (ranked 232nd) will meet New Prague (ranked 41st) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Waconia will take on Orono at 7:00 p.m. on Monday down 129 places (134 vs. 5).
