Softball Recap: Valley Central Takes a Loss

Valley Central lost against Warwick back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Mackenzie Hinspeter was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Mckenzie Rodriguez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Valley Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Warwick, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Valley Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Saugerties at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Warwick, they will venture away from home to face off against Goshen Central at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.
