Volleyball Recap: Galion Takes a Loss

Galion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the River Valley Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

Galion took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-13, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Galion saw an underclassman step up: freshman Zoe Holt had ten digs.

Galion's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for River Valley, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Galion will challenge rival Marion Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, River Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Clear Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
