Baseball Recap: Bishop Timon-St. Jude Extends Winning Streak to Four

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Timon-St. Jude). They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Depew Wildcats on Friday. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Adam Howard was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win (which was Bishop Timon-St. Jude's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Depew, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Timon-St. Jude will take on St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Depew, they will square off against Williamsville South at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
