Softball Game Preview: Rittman Indians vs. Norton Panthers

The Rittman Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Norton Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Wednesday, Rittman didn't have quite enough to beat Smithville and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Smithies: they've now lost five in a row.

Rittman saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carly Frame, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Lillian Cooper also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Norton beat Ravenna 8-4 on Wednesday.

The team relied heavily on Addison Calo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Chloe Womble was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Norton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Rittman, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
