Basketball Recap: Holly Springs Takes a Loss

Holly Springs lost against Independence back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Holly Springs Hawks lost 64-41 to the Independence Wildcats. The matchup marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Independence's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jax Wilson, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenyon Dowl, who had 13 points.

Holly Springs has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Independence, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.

Holly Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-62 defeat against Center Hill on the 24th. As for Independence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-44 loss against Rosa Fort on the 22nd.
