Basketball Game Preview: Wells Wells CSD vs. Lake Placid Bombers

Wells and Lake Placid are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Wells Wells CSD will square off against the Lake Placid Bombers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Wells is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

Last Wednesday, Wells strolled past Fort Ann with points to spare, taking the game 52-37.

Meanwhile, Lake Placid lost to Seton Catholic Central on the road by a 63-47 margin on Friday. The Bombers haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Wells pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.2 points per game. As for Lake Placid, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Everything came up roses for Wells against Lake Placid when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured an 81-53 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Lake Placid's Seb Cecunjanin, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds.
