Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt lost against Minneapolis South back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Roosevelt Teddies were dealt a 44-17 loss at the hands of the Minneapolis South Tigers. The Teddies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Georgia Levin was Roosevelt's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Sha'sariah Works held things down on the boards with nine rebounds. Lana Johnson took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Minneapolis South, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

Roosevelt has already played their next game, a 34-24 loss against Avail Academy on the 14th. As for Minneapolis South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Paul Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
