Softball Game Preview: Mamaroneck Tigers vs. Suffern Mounties

Mamaroneck is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Suffern a ten-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Mamaroneck Tigers will be playing at home against the Suffern Mounties at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mamaroneck fell victim to North Rockland and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 6-0 to the Raiders. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Suffern came up short against Monroe-Woodbury on April 2nd, falling 18-4.

Suffern saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makayla Hernandez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Mamaroneck's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Suffern, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went Mamaroneck's way against Suffern in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as Mamaroneck made off with a 21-6 victory. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Mounties have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
