With a playoff win on the line, Hendrickson rose to the challenge on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Victoria East Titans 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Hawks sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Kara Luongo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hendrickson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Shroyer, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Hendrickson's win bumped their record up to 17-11-1. As for Victoria East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-17.

Looking ahead, Hendrickson will face off against Angleton on Saturday. Victoria East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
