Greybull hadn't done well against Tongue River recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Greybull Buffaloes sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-40 victory over the Tongue River Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 48-42 back in December of 2024.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kole Spotted, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Kenyonn Snell, who went 5 of 11 to rack up 12 points.

The win made it two in a row for Greybull and bumps their season record up to 7-9. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 points across that stretch. As for Tongue River, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

Greybull wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-45 victory against Riverside on the 6th. As for Tongue River, they have also already played their next contest, a 44-39 defeat against Big Horn on the 6th.
