Gardner-Edgerton won the last time they faced De Soto and things went their way on Saturday too. The Trailblazers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Wildcats.

Gardner-Edgerton easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-10.

Gardner-Edgerton found their leader in freshman Bella Garcia, who had eight digs and two aces.

Gardner-Edgerton's victory bumped their record up to 17-6-1. As for De Soto, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 16-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Gardner-Edgerton will head out to square off against Shawnee Mission Northwest on Tuesday. As for De Soto, they will venture away from home to challenge Seaman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
