Basketball Recap: Sumner Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sumner posted their biggest win since January 30th on Friday. They ended the year with a bang, routing the Incline Highlanders 64-41. The victory was familiar territory for the Spartans who have now won three games in a row.

Despite the loss, Incline still got an impressive performance from Tommy Williams, who posted 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. That was a full 46.3% of Incline's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Combs, who had eight points and seven rebounds.

Sumner pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Incline, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Sumner wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 65-43 victory against Archbishop Rummel on the 28th. As for Incline, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-41 win against North Creek on the 28th.
