Volleyball Game Preview: Foshay Wolverines vs. New West Charter Eagles

The Foshay Wolverines will head out on the road to challenge the New West Charter Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.

Foshay is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Larchmont Charter just ended the team's six-match winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Timberwolves, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wolverines have suffered since October 28, 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-13, 25-9.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for New West Charter, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Middle College on Wednesday.

While New West Charter won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 27-25.

New West Charter is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Foshay, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Foshay came out on top in a nail-biter against New West Charter in their previous matchup back in September, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
