Basketball Recap: Souhegan Comes Up Short

Souhegan and Hollis-Brookline squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Souhegan had to settle for second. They lost to the Hollis-Brookline Cavaliers on the road by a 54-39 margin. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-33 back in January.

Souhegan's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Hollis-Brookline, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

While Souhegan had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Tuesday.
