After soaring to four goals the game before, Porterville was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the El Diamante Miners. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Panthers came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Miners are ranked 604th).

Porterville's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1-3 and their overall record down to 15-3-4. As for El Diamante, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-11-6.
