Softball Recap: Traverse City Central Picks Up Eighth Straight Win on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Traverse City Central). They never let the Tawas Area Braves get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Saturday. Considering the Trojans have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Traverse City Central's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Tawas Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Traverse City Central will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gaylord at 4:15 p.m. on May 6. As for Tawas Area, they will venture away from home to square off against Rogers City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
