Basketball Recap: Lakota Tech Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lakota Tech extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Shania Ferguson. The Lakota Tech Tatanka claimed a resounding 79-51 victory over the Hill City Rangers thanks in part to Ferguson, who went 14-for-22 on her way to 33 points and five assists. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 14 games she's played.

Lizzie Robinson was another key player, putting up four points along with 11 assists, six rebounds, and six steals. She is becoming a predictor of Lakota Tech's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 12-3 (and 1-3 when she doesn't).

Lakota Tech's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34 points. As for Hill City, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakota Tech will welcome Crow Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Crow Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Hill City, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Custer at 7:00 p.m.
