Volleyball Game Preview: Fruitdale Pirates vs. Southern Choctaw Indians

After both having extra time off, the Fruitdale Pirates and the Southern Choctaw Indians will shake off the rust and duke it out at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fruitdale has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with 16 straight defeats, while Southern Choctaw will come in with three straight wins.

Fruitdale came up short against Washington County on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Southern Choctaw made easy work of McIntosh on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Southern Choctaw's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Fruitdale, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Fruitdale might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Southern Choctaw when the teams last played back in August. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
