Football Recap: Franklin County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Franklin County kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 30-14 bruising from the Coffee County Central Red Raiders. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Coffee County Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaysen Lowery, who threw for 257 yards and three touchdowns while completing 74.1% of his passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. What's more, Lowery racked up 140.5 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August of 2024. Kane Dixon was Lowery's top target, picking up 86 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin County will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Mahwah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Coffee County Central, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Tullahoma at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
