Suggested Video

After each having a week off, the Lexington Wildcats and the Laurens Raiders will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lexington's defense has only allowed 11.8 points per game this season, so Laurens' offense will have their work cut out for them.

Lexington is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Greenwood just ended the team's three-game winning streak last Friday. They took a hard 14-0 fall against the Eagles. That makes it the first time this season the Wildcats have let down their home crowd.

Meanwhile, Laurens is still winless after their matchup against A.C. Flora last Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 20-17. One positive for the Raiders, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Although Laurens took the loss, they still got scores from Nehemias Fernandez and Denari Lee-Jackson.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lexington fell to 3-1. As for Laurens, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
