Basketball Recap: Union Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Union Academy duked it out with Hickory Grove Christian on Thursday. The Cardinals fell 46-40 to the Lions. The Cardinals have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Hickory Grove Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Nelson out in front who went 7-for-11 to rack up 17 points. Those 17 points gave Nelson a new career-high. Micah Bradley was another key player, putting up ten points.

Union Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Hickory Grove Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Looking ahead, Union Academy will head out to challenge Lee Park Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hickory Grove Christian, they will be playing at home against Carolina Day at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
