Basketball Recap: Cody Comes Up Short

Cody was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by East English Village Prep 63-12. The contest marked the Comets' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

It was another big night for Rayshawn Johnson, who went 13 of 16 en route to 30 points for East English Village Prep. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Tate, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 12 points and seven assists.

Cody's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for East English Village Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

Cody will take on Communication Media Arts at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Cody is facing Communication Media Arts at the right time seeing as Communication Media Arts is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for East English Village Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Central at 7:00 p.m.
