Basketball Recap: Sunnybrook Christian Takes a Loss

Sunnybrook Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a 38-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McCauley Christian Academy Warriors.

When it comes to explaining why Sunnybrook Christian lost, don't look at Rihana Crowl. Despite the final result, she went 9-for-20 on her way to 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That was a full 75.9% of Sunnybrook Christian's points, marking the third time in a row Crowl has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Leading McCauley Christian Academy to victory were Chloe Miller and Sophie Ledesma. Miller earned seven points and three steals, while Ledesma scored nine points. Ledesma has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ariel Valdez, who put up six points.

Sunnybrook Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for McCauley Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Sunnybrook Christian nor McCauley Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
