Baseball Recap: Corvallis Spartans vs. South Albany Redhawks
Corvallis gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on the South Albany Redhawks with a sharp 12-5 victory. Considering the Spartans have won four games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Axel Prechel and Roy Bannister made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Prechel pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Bannister struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk).
