After a string of five wins, Reese's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bad Axe Hatchets by a score of 7-6. Rockets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Hatchets since on Thursday.

Jaidyn VanOchten was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Blayke Weiss also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Reese's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Bad Axe, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Reese has already played their next matchup, a 7-6 victory against Kingston on the 21st. As for Bad Axe, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-1 win against Memphis on the 21st.
