Volleyball Recap: Fitchburg Takes a Loss

Fitchburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Ayer Shirley Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 9th.

Fitchburg's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Ayer Shirley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Fitchburg has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against North Middlesex Regional on the 1st. As for Ayer Shirley, they will challenge Marlborough at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
