Volleyball Recap: Kara Wilson and Maryn Waite Secure Win for Clinton

Clinton won the last time they faced Williams Bay and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-14.

Leading Clinton to victory were Maryn Waite and Kara Wilson. Waite had 16 assists and four digs, while Wilson had two aces and one assist.

They weren't the only good server: Clinton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Clinton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Williams Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Clinton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Brodhead at 6:30 p.m. on the 11th. The match will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season. Williams Bay has already played their next contest (against Parkview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
