Softball Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-2 to the West Springfield Spartans.

Wayne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Celso, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Celso hit this season.

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for West Springfield, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Coming up, Wayne will venture away from home to face off against Union Pines at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for West Springfield, they will welcome Auburn at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
