Soccer Recap: Beddingfield Falls to North East Carolina Prep in First Game of Season

Beddingfield unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the North East Carolina Prep Huskies by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. Beddingfield were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North East Carolina Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The victory (which was North East Carolina Prep's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beddingfield will square off against Goldsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beddingfield will be up against Goldsboro's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.29 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North East Carolina Prep, they will take on Gates County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
