If Notre Dame Academy was riding high fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Sheboygan North on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tritons fell just short of the Appleton East Patriots by a score of 10-8 on Monday. The Tritons' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Jack Frelich made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Christian Collins, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs.

Notre Dame Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Appleton East, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
