Softball Recap: Concordia Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against St. Croix Lutheran

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Concordia Academy). They never let the St. Croix Lutheran Crusaders get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Beacons in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won four in a row.

Concordia Academy got a great performance from Bailey Doerfler as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Doerfler has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Adelyn Sutherland was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Anna Halvorsen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Concordia Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Concordia Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for St. Croix Lutheran, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-3.
