Softball Recap: Paducah Tilghman Starts Season with Victory at Home

Paducah Tilghman gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 13-8 win over the Trigg County Wildcats. This was payback for the Blue Tornado, who suffered a 15-9 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Hailey Mooney, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one triple, and one run. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in doubles. Another player making a difference was Baylee McMinn, who scored a run and stole Three bases.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paducah Tilghman will welcome Murray at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Trigg County, they will square off against Madisonville-North Hopkins at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
