Heritage had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.3 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Monday. They strolled past the South-Doyle Cherokees with points to spare, taking the game 70-55. Given the Mountaineers' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Cherokees are ranked 157th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Heritage's win bumped their record up to 25-2. As for South-Doyle, their loss dropped their record down to 13-16.
