Softball Recap: Lawrence Academy Makes It Eight in a Row on the Road

While Lawrence Academy put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Pungo Christian Academy. The Warriors put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 15-0 victory. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Clair Ferebee made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and three runs.

In other batting news, Camy Pippins was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Addie Phelps was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Lawrence Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive games.

Lawrence Academy's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Pungo Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Lawrence Academy nor Pungo Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
