Basketball Recap: Ferguson's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Ferguson fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They secured a 52-48 W over the Braddock Bulldogs on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in December of 2024, they had to take a 61-59 defeat.

Braddock's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luca De La Paz, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Barzaga, who posted 13 points and seven rebounds.

Ferguson's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-16. As for Braddock, they dropped their record down to 5-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Ferguson will host Killian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Killian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.5 points per game this season. As for Braddock, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-47 win against Pompano Beach on the 11th.
