Softball Recap: Kimball Knights vs. Madison Trojans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln, Kimball was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Madison Trojans with a sharp 15-3 victory. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.
Alissa Talamantes was a standout: she scored three runs and stole eight bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. Kimberly Gonzales was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
The win got Kimball back to even at 3-3. As for Madison, they dropped their record down to 0-2-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
