Caliche is 2-8 against Sedgwick County since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Buffaloes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 4:30 p.m. Caliche is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Caliche took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Wray, sneaking past 6-5.

Zander Yost was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Caliche is undefeated when Yost posts three or more RBI, but 4-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Kloberdanz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Sedgwick County lost 17-2 to Merino on Thursday.
Tate Renquist put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Renquist was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last three times he's played.
Sedgwick County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Caliche, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Caliche has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .449. However, it's not like Sedgwick County struggles in that department as they've averaged .457. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
