Basketball Game Preview: Overton Bobcats vs. Maplewood Panthers + How To Watch

Overton is 0-3 against Maplewood since December of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Bobcats will welcome the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

After dropping their season opener at home, Maplewood is headed out to face a Bobcats team ready to give their home crowd a win. Overton took a 59-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hume-Fogg on Tuesday.

Overton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of William Livingston, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 23 points and six steals, and Terry Slater Jr, who went 5-for-12 en route to 14 points along with six boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, Maplewood had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 61-52 to Franklin Road Academy on Tuesday. While Maplewood didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Franklin Road Academy 10-5 in the first quarter.
