Soccer Recap: Nicolet Comes Up Short

Nicolet's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 3-1 to the Cedar Grove-Belgium Rockets. While losing is never fun, Nicolet can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Cedar Grove-Belgium are ranked third).

Nicolet's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Cedar Grove-Belgium, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 17-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nicolet will face off against Whitefish Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cedar Grove-Belgium, they will challenge Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
