Softball Recap: Chapmanville Regional Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Chapmanville Regional put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's seventh consecutive shutout on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Winfield Generals 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Generals back in April, they had to take a 4-0 loss.

Not much got past Chloe Murphy, who gave up just a hit and racked up 16 Ks to keep Winfield off the board. Murphy has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 21 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Chapmanville Regional's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mady Farley, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Chapmanville Regional's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-6.
