Basketball Recap: Still Creek Christian Piles Up the Points Against Faith Academy of Freestone

Still Creek Christian waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They breezed by the Faith Academy of Freestone Warriors to the tune of 60-8. That looming 60-8 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Colts yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Still Creek Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Walton, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds Walton has posted since back in January of 2024. Ethan Mangan was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 14 boards.

Still Creek Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in seven consecutive matchups.

Still Creek Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Faith Academy of Freestone, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Still Creek Christian and Spring Baptist Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
